Your appointment, made simple

A hearing test.
Three clear steps.

01

We listen and assess

Tell us what feels difficult. Your audiologist reviews your history, examines your ears, and selects the tests suited to your concerns.

02

We explain your results

Understand what you hear and how you understand speech, with an explanation in everyday language.

03

We guide your next step

Your plan may include advice, monitoring, hearing aid options, or a medical referral when appropriate.

Does this sound familiar?

Small signs.
A good reason to check.

  • You often ask people to repeat.
  • Restaurants and group conversations feel harder.
  • Others notice your TV volume.
  • Phone conversations take more effort.
  • You notice ringing or buzzing.
  • You feel your hearing has changed.

What we look at

More than hearing a beep.

Your assessment is tailored to your history, symptoms and listening concerns. Your audiologist explains each part before you begin.

Your ears

A visual examination checks the ear canal and eardrum. Middle-ear testing may be used when appropriate.

Sounds you can hear

You respond to tones through earphones so we can measure your hearing at different pitches.

Words you understand

Speech tests explore how clearly you understand words. Testing in background noise may be included according to your needs.

Your everyday listening

We connect the findings to the situations that matter to you, then discuss realistic next steps.

Independent care. Your priorities.

Your questions, answered

A few clear answers.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

You can book a routine hearing assessment directly. If your situation requires medical review, your audiologist will explain the appropriate next step.

How much time should I allow?

Allow up to an hour for your history, assessment, questions and discussion of results. The tests selected and appointment length depend on your needs.

Is a hearing test uncomfortable?

Most testing involves listening to sounds and words and responding. Some middle-ear tests create a brief pressure sensation. Tell your audiologist about pain, previous ear surgery or discomfort so testing can be adapted.

Will I automatically need hearing aids?

No. Your results and everyday difficulties guide the recommendations. We explain whether monitoring, communication strategies, hearing aids or medical review may be appropriate.

What are the fees?

Please contact our team when booking. We confirm the fee for your appointment type and any applicable eligibility conditions before your visit.

Can I be seen in English or French?

Yes. Earsonic provides care in English and French. Tell us your preferred language when booking.
